Registration is limited to 30 due to parking availability.
This program is ideal for runners who would like to try trail running, would like to build trail mileage and skill, or are looking to run with a group to discover local trail systems. Group runs will occur primarily at Worthington Farm and Little Bennett Regional Park. We may venture onto the C&O Canal Towpath, Gambrill, the Frederick County Watershed, or other locations around Frederick County depending on group skill and comfort level. Sessions will cover footwear/equipment, trail etiquette, and trail running skills. Runners registering for the program should be able to run at least 3 miles comfortably on the road. All paces welcome. No one will be left behind on a trail. Come with a can-do attitude and a sense of adventure. *Registration is limited to 30.
