Currently looking to complete an ultra in September. This would be my first. I live in the southeast and am looking at two particular races, the Table Rock 50k and Georgia Jewel 35mi or 50mi.
Does anyone have experience with these races or other September ultras? Preferably in the SE. Preferable not Barkley Fall Classic, haha.

Are we there, yet?
If you aren't averse to a fixed time race, Hinson Lake 24 Hour is Sep 28 in Rockingham, NC. It is currently full but there is a wait list. I haven't run it, but it is very popular and I think it is the biggest 24-hour race in the country.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.

Also, a month later, West Virginia Trilogy put on by West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners has a 50K/50M/Half Marathon weekend of Oct 11. That area is beautiful.
