04MAY08 Flying Pig Half Marathon Cincinnatti, OH My goal was to finish in 2:15 crossed the line in 2:14:18 needless to say I was in "Hog Heaven" I have to say this was a great event. Thanks to all the Grunts working the sidelines they were fantastic! For an event that offers no cash prizes and therefore doesn't attract the rock star runners they managed to make all 16,000 plus runners feel special. I look forward to returning next year and getting a look at the second half of the course.

You can run with me now, Ennay, and the way you're going you'll be outracing me by next year. That's some leap forward you made in that last 10k. I do a high percentage of runs at 8:30 pace and slower. You just run 7:50's for 6.2 miles!

04MAY08 Flying Pig Half Marathon Cincinnatti, OH 2:14 This was the best race yet. I can't say enough about the volunteers they were everywhere as well as the spectators. Starting at the expo right up to the finishline they made sure you had everything you needed and made you feel welcome. The course was neat, we started in Ohio and ran over a bridge crossing into Kentucky then back into Ohio. Around the five mile mark we hit "the hills" but the bands along the way helped to pull me up. At the nine mile mark we started a down hill decent that took us to the finish line. it was a great time hope to do it again next year.

Sick just sick(In a good way)!
GREAT report Michelle!!! Question for you hun! Did you leave the 4 hour pace group in the dust after we split up? I have to say you're description of being like a dog on a leash is pretty accurate. You still KICKED butt though!! The marathons is QUITE THE BI$CH! Oh and I don't think how nice it was to see your face when we met back up , though I would of rather have seen your smiling face as I crossed the finish line!

Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson
