"I aim to misbehave."
Run the race God set B4U
Slow-smooth-fast
"I've been following Eddy's improvement over the last two years on this site, and it's been pretty dang solid. Sure the weekly mileage has been up and down, but over the long haul he's getting out the door and has turned himself into quite a runner. He's only now just figuring out his potential. Consistency in running is measured in years, not weeks. And over the last couple of years, Eddy's made great strides" Jeff 14 Jan 2009

I assume that the race was somehow connected to Mayo? I know he had the bulk of his treatments there. I'm glad that there is research going into such a horrible disease. I wouldn't wish that kind of anguish on anyone.
My folks lost a dear friend a few years back from the after effects of MM. He struggled for years with the disease, nearly died, went into remission, then died from heart attack as the result of the toll the MM treatments took on his body.
De-slacking in progress
They do a series of races around the country... http://www.mmrfrace.org/find_an_event.html Celgene is the big national sponsor, but Mayo HS sponsors the local race, along with many others. Hopefully it will continue to grow.
started running @ age 48 [lost 70#+, quit a 30 year pack/day habit>> ran HM] Ran a few years then quit. Gained 70#+ back and smoking like before. Time to get healthy again @ 52 years over with the C25K program and beyond again. RE-start date 1-13-14
