Forums >General Running>What is your opinion of Alberto Salazar as a coach?
Oh yeah, that gets linked. Usually, the longer the thread goes and the nastier it gets, the probability that the linked story will appear approaches one.
Doc, my tooth hurts
I thought so. I just thought I would comment on how depressed I feel after reading it.
SJ - Just read the article. I think your passion in your beliefs is worthy of admiration - i will grant you that.
On the thoughts about running , as well as your communication skills, you might want to ruminate a bit.
I dont sweat. I ooze liquid awesome.
not bad for mile 25
I'm not sure if this article has been posted in a thread hijacked by SJ, but I'm posting it anyways. http://www.wweek.com/portland/article-627-people_say_im_crazy.html If it really is the same guy, and it sounds like it is, I don't think anyone is ever convincing him of anything. I also feel really sorry for him.

Did it ever occur to you guys that you may be debating with a highly-sarcastic teenager whose hobbies include racing the mile, looking at porn, posting on letsrun, and looking at porn?
As opposed to the rest of you guys whose hobbies include racing the 5k to marathon, looking at porn, looking at letsrun, and looking at porn?

I'm hoping for the thread about the thread.

I always say, nothing improves a bad discussion like elevating it to a meta-discussion.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
You rang???
And you can quote me as saying I was mis-quoted. Groucho Marx

Why is it sideways?
pwned.
Yet training a football team, I was able to impact a program that was 2-7 in 2010 to the second best turnaround in college football last season with their 7-5 record....
This is a stupid thing to nitpick on, but I will anyway. Just sort of goes to a pattern of "almost-facts" that you throw out.
"Your" team's 3.5 game improvement (delta in wins plus delta in losses div by 2, that's how ncaa judges improvements), was not the second best in college football last season. Towson went from 1-10 to 9-3 and Houston went from 5-7 to 13-1, and I didn't bother checking after that.
This is separate and apart from the notion that you were responsible for the turnaround.
Carry on with the clown show...
Come all you no-hopers, you jokers and roguesWe're on the road to nowhere, let's find out where it goes
I don't post on that website. Please.

Experts said the world is flat
Experts said that man would never fly
Experts said we'd never go to the moon
Name me one of those "experts"...
History never remembers the name of experts; just the innovators who had the guts to challenge and prove the "experts" wrong
At least the article had the acurate records. But, just because some oregon live reporter writes it, doesn't make it so. See the records I posted before, which are both better turnarounds.
Perhaps they were second best in whatever league, or conference or division they play in...just not all of college football. Anyway, I'm sure you were key. Good job.

What does this article have to do with women walking around with 20 pound weights?
Not at it at all.
