For those of us that ran the Pig on Sunday - I thought I would post this interesting article I found about how to re-calculate your finishing time based on the extra .25 mile. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080506/SPT/805060374 Convert your finishing time to seconds then multiply by .9905 to get your adjusted time. Here is my calculation 3:39:58 = 13198 seconds multiply by .9905 = 13072.61 seconds subtract the values = 125.39 seconds = 2 minutes 5 seconds My new finishing time - 3:37:53 Woo hoo!!! About 30 more wrong turns and I might be able to qualify for Boston!!!!!! Just trying to feel better about my meltdown in the final miles! Hopefully this will help someone if they were close to qualifying for Boston. Probably more official news to come on this in the coming days. Kevin
