2010 Goal of Sub 3:00 marathon (Read 8720 times)


    I am not expecting much better for next year


    * Still fat

    * Not running much (12 miles last week)

    * have a marathon in January - No way sub 3:00


    *  Have a marathon in February - Hope for sub 3:00


    * Monkey in November - Not likely sub 3:00.

    Retired 1/1/13 ... Tired of being broken and fat  ... Hit 296# Memorial Day 2016 - New goal = To be able to enjoy running 4-5 hours through the woods again by Fall 2016. April 2017 ... Shit it is almost April !



      I happened to check into this thread and saw that I was listed as AWOL.  The truth is I've been dealing with various injuries since January (Achilles, IT Band, knee, hip joint).  I had to abandon my plans early and rest my body.  The first half of the year was minimal to no running mostly.  The second half I slowly built up my mileage and worked heavily on strengthening my injuries.  I never attempted a marathon during the year.


      The good news is that I seem to be fully healthy now and am currently training for the Napa Valley Marathon in March.  I'll add myself to the 2011 thread.
