Top 25 (Read 292 times)

SlowSteps

I am new to this site and was curious if there was a "monthly top mileage list" or something of that nature (not necessarily top 25)? I've looked at some very impressive running stats and am just curious?  I suspect the top runners here would have some high mileage.

Running helps keep me sane & gives me a lot of time to think.

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV)

      Nope.

Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.

As a math guy, I would be really interested in those stats, but I don't think that accomplishes the purpose of the running community at RA (correct me if I'm wrong).

          Prairie running is peace.

Probably not Nate, just thought it'd be neat to look at. I'd be on the list but it'd be neat to look at.

I wish there could be a "monthly time" list, because I would be higher on that list!  Not high, but higher than miles at least.

In the user groups you can see reports of weekly/monthly/ytd mileage or time for the members of that group, but not for all users of the site.

Eric put together a great post a couple years ago highlighting some of the exceptional runners who log on RA. Anyone remember it? Can anyone find it?

It was sdizazzo or something like that that started it, if I am remembering correctly. I will look

I read that thread last night JoAnn and it was interesting. I just thought having a site wide PR list of monthly top 25 mileage list would be neat. I do realize that not everyone would want to be on that list and even with the technology we have, it might be hard or labor intensive to do. I just like looking at folks who are excelling in the sport of running. I'm a numbers guy .

I use to be on Coolrunning and someone usually started a thread at the end of the month with total monthly mileage that many of the folks would post on. Maybe someone does that here as well, I don't know since this is my first month on here.

One of the greatest things about RunningAhead's community, in my opinion, is that there is amazing depth and breadth of experienced runners -- mile specialists, 5K'rs, marathon junkies, ultra runners, trail runners, hill runners, desert foxes, philosophers of the running mind, and on, and on -- you name your challenge, there's likely someone here who can help you improve your approach and results.  These folks are amazing at sharing their insights. Another universal truth is they don't flaunt their running logs. Volume without purpose is vanity, focus is sanity.

Unfortunately no. I'll take a try at finding it now that I'm not on my phone.

If you are in the 2016 in 2016 game forum you can run a report for the yearly mileage for those who are in that group.

You would need 3,000 miles for the year to be in the top 25 as of today.  There are 2 guys over 4,000 miles with 4,295 miles so far for the person with the highest yearly mileage.

I'm sure there are a lot of folks who are logging miles on RA that aren't playing that game so that is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
