HRM Not Working (Read 418 times)

I've had my Timex HRM for about a year and a half, and have gone through two batteries on the hrm strap itself, which I believe is a lot. Wore it on a run the other day and after a mile or so, it stopped working. Put a new battery in it the next day and it still won't work. Made sure it was clean, and damp enough, still nothing. Any ideas? Or sould I use this as an excuse to buy a 305?
