Problem Child
Darkwave I sent JMac a message about his. Totally
missed your bib (I don’t hang out here much) so if he doesn’t want to give me one, I’ll take yours.
Many of us aren't sure what the hell point you are trying to make and no matter how we guess, it always seems to be something else. Which usually means a person is doing it on purpose.

Let us know either way, because I've already put out some feelers about DW's bib.

Mmmm Bop
Big congrats Steve on another well deserved PB this year and you must’ve overtaken a lot of runners in the last 5k which would be an added buzz! I have every confidence in you to shave at least 30min off your marathon PB next year. 👍
MickJogger - Congrats on your Sub4 rockstar performance at Berlin!

Cobra Commander Keen
Merkle - The 100 is the priority, and I'm not going to do anything in that half I think would risk it. That said, if conditions are favorable I want to (finally) win it and possibly grab a NYC qualifier for myself. I have a backup race for that in early December, though.

August 31 - Brookhaven 5k
October 13 - Prairie Fire Half
November 2 - Crossroads Marathon
Oh I will. It would be as a pacer for someone working on a BQ which depends on Marine Corp Marathon.
Commander- I meant to comment on this. I had a similar run last year (January I think). Morning commute should have been a piece of cake and the entire run SUCKED!! Absolute fatigue and very bad gastric issues almost puked and spit up wads of shit the entire 7.5 miles. All at 9 minute per mile pace.
Next day I felt fine and the rest of the cycle wasn't an issue and it didn't happen again. Never got sick or had any other ill effects? Has happened to me 3-4 times in the 10 years of marathon training.
I felt fatigued by halfway (which shouldn't happen to me), and I stopped maybe 5 times in the last 8 miles. I'd sit or lay down, once I borrowed some water from a farmer to douse my head and refill a water bottle (that I hadn't emptied yet), and threw up some bile during my final stop, which was .9 miles from the house. Everything has felt fine since, though, including a really good 13 miler this morning, so I'm counting that as a one-off. One more big week remaining!
5K 18:36 (2023), 10K 39:40 (2022), 1/2 1:24:37 (2023), full 2:58:36 (2015)
Longboat, WC and JMac posting in the same week has re-energized me.
Solid week with 2 good workouts and 2 other days with some quality thrown in. Fall weather returning is so nice.

Exactly zero after effects. My Sunday recovery runs are never anything special, but today I actually felt better than usual.
RIP Milkman
I don't even see your name on the race list!

J-Mac- I've been under the radar and enjoying all of the attention being paid to the Cal/Mikkey showdown. I'm locked in for Philly on 11/19 and am toying with either a half tune-up (10/7 or 10/14) or a trail marathon (10/21). My first ever trail marathon4 weeks out from Philly may not be the smartest so I'll probably go with either the cape cod half or baystate half.
Summer training had me questioning my goals for Philly but, now that its cooled down a little, sub-3 seems possible.

Fishy - I don't see any attention to our showdown honestly It still will be fun, I hope it is fun to follow for people here, but it will be fun for me for sure and I hope it will be fun for Mikkey too. I will have to definitely treat him to dinner - hope he will find time for that - as I know his trip is kind of short. We are jokingly talking about documentary about our "rivalry", but the funny thing - short video would be enough - last October I met Mikkey in London, we even didn't take a photo together . That's hilarious! But I start to really thinking about CIM now - I hope Mikkey will not injure himself and we would have a decent race together. I know the result of the outcome, but will leave it until the after the race .
But for now I would like to have an open poll: please vote who you will think wins CIM - Mikkey or CalBears? Please people - don't be shy - just express your opinion - I promise nobody will take it against you - it should be fun, so, please vote !!!
My past two weeks:

Felt really tired last week. Felt tired during today's workout, maybe I should take this week easy.

You should see his Strava. It’s pretty impressive ‘for a man his age’ compared to mine.
darkwave/DavePNW looks like I have my bib once JMac irons out some details like travel arrangements, and falsified timing data.
CK - btw, can you put me and Mikkey on the race list for CIM on December 3rd? I would like to target a lofty goal of sub 3 and that's a time target, but the main goal is to win the race, so, that's the main thing
Yeah that will be great meeting up again having a laugh and also running another US course which is even harder than NYC! Yes, number one priority is not to get injured…I had to take a couple of rest days last week after another hamstring niggle but feel ok again. I had a myofascial release massage this morning which was pretty intense! Apparently I have a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders.
Wait, is Cal starting to ride a bicycle on the road??? I bloody hate cyclists!
