pest control poisoning and running with dogs (Read 110 times)

haykate

I like to run with my dogs.  I feel much safer.  And I then don't need to exercise twice - we can exercise together.  But mostly, for me, a run over a trail and through the bush with your best and furriest friend(s) is the point of having a dog and of going for a run!

So when I arrive at a public destination and there's a sign saying that the area has been plastered with poison deadly to dogs, it's very frustrating.  Particularly so when its been a long drive to get to the track.

I understand the need for pest control, but it bugs me when the contractors/authorities push the envelope too far.

The sign may be a requirement. It depends in which state you live. Secondary poisoning is rare. The company is protecting its self  from overly zealous individuals. Rodenticides  are placed in tamper resistance boxes to protect children and pets.

PS: Keep your children and dogs under control. I will not get started on my opinion of people letting their dogs run free on  public trails and roads. He/ she won't bite.

Run until the trail runs out.
