One good race this year is all I'm looking for too. I'll need to give myself a few pep talks if I want to run a 10k this Sunday. With my current fitness that is by far the most challenging distance, psychologically. I'd feel so much more confident racing a 5K or a Half Marathon...we'll see. Mentally, there's a chance I could suffer a blow to my ego. Physically it's probably the best thing I could do for myself, training-wise. I'm planning to run the 5K in Burlington on the 6th.
I expect 6 minute miles from you

Not registered for any YET. Was going to try the Broad Street Run but I have a golf outing that day. So I am going to focus on the Philadelphia Marathon. I have never run longer than 5k so I just have to decide if I will run the 8K, HM, or go nutz and try the marathon. We'll see. Considering that I have not run but a lick this week maybe I'll just watch it on T.V.
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
