Kilkenny/Tipperary Running (Read 314 times)

Anyone out there know anything about running in Tipperary or Kilkenny? I'm going on vacation next week, to spend some time with my parents. They can give me chapter on verse on pretty much any golf course in the entire country, but running, not so much. I know I can just run on the roads (it's all very rural and pretty where they live), but I mostly run in NYC parks so I'm not especially "running in traffic" savvy, so we were wondering if there were any good off-road options or even destination places to run (or hike) worth a day trip. Good bar recommendations also welcome....
