It's that time of year again!  Registration begins on Monday for next year's Boston Marathon.

Who's in or anxiously waiting to see?!

Will everyone get in this year?  I know there's one website predicting no cut-off due in part to Boston being so warm last year.

I'm in with a 3:27:09 from 2015 California International.  It's a BQ-20, so I'll get to register on Monday.  Smile

1st timer here as well. Everything I've been reading points to either a very small or no cut-off at all so I feel pretty safe with my BQ-3:34. Will be training with the Pfitz 55 plan but don't have a time goal yet, just excited to finally get in after trying to BQ a couple of times.

spartygw - Holy crap is right! Makes me feel a little better about dropping $1,625 for 5 nights at the Boston Harbor. Looks to be a very, very nice hotel though and a great location so I think it will be worth it. They still have rooms btw.

Hi. Me again. This will be my 7th. I'm local so my lodging is included with my mortgage payment. Gonna keep swinging at a sub 3 Boston. I'm gonna need good conditions and good legs. The only time I've had both at Boston I got greedy and it didn't work out. I've matured as a runner a bit since then.

MTA: That road under my feet in my avatar is the Boston course.

Congratulations!  And, that hotel seems like a great deal.  I stayed at the Boston Harbor in 2012 and it's pretty convenient to everything, although it might mean walking/cabbing to the expo.

I'm forgetting...  When was the last time there were good conditions?  Wink

                2011 was almost perfect!

2014 were good conditions for running, but terrible conditions for sitting around waiting to run, and walking to your hotel shivering after you ran.

Pretty sure my BQ-11:08 will get me in.  I believe I can register on Wednesday, which is already on my calendar/reminder.  M52 - BQ=3:30 QT=3:18:51.42.  I also already have hotel reservations, which can change if I find something better.

I'm super excited.  I qualified on my first marathon, and I am registering tomorrow (Monday).  I have reservations for Boston Harbor, but I am open to other options.  I'm going to use Hansons.  I used it for my first marathon.  My goal is 3:34.

I forget that even though it rained people ran well that day.

So torn! I ran the NYC Marathon last year with a BQ-25, so I could register today, but I'm not sure I want to go through another cycle of marathon training next spring. On the other hand, If I don't, will I be able to qualify again? Will I care? Decisions, decisions....

still bummed when i found out a few months ago that registration was changed and when I run the 2016 chicago marathon I won't be eligible for the 2017 boston marathon
