Several times I have raced marathons from 2 to 6 weeks apart. I prefer them 4-6 weks apart....two weeks apart made the second one especially tough. that's interesting, because it flies in the face of the conventional wisdom that the benefits of a 26-mile marathon training aren't worth the potential injuries. So, can we save the $100 race entry and just run a 26 mile training run a month or so before a marathon?
