Hi my name is Justin. I just moved to downtown Indy a month ago. I also just started running. I am looking for some people to run with. I currently run around a 8 min pace. I am not fast but I am working on it. I started running because my sister wants me to run the mini here next year with her. If you are interested let me know. Thanks!!!

Great City Smile Be sure to check out the Monon trail. Don't live there anymore but have run the mini a few times. Enjoy your training - 8 min pace is pretty good or a "beginner" - try to keep that up on your long runs and you will be ready for next May.

juasher - Indy is pretty big place. I imagine if you GOOGLE running clubs in INDY, you will likely get a few hits....join up and partake in the activities.. Give these guys a call.....http://www.indyrunners.org/ Just a suggestion....there are probably more..... I lived in Indy Indy a number of years ago while in the Army (It was a fun city - lots going on, I really liked it there)...there are a lot of good runners and runs, in and acound there. My first race ever was the Morgon Monroe Miler (a 10 mile race in Bloomington)... Smile Big grin Wink

If you're downtown, you might call the National Institute of fitness and sports- NIFS. It's one of Indy's best gyms and has an annual training program for the mini. The NIFS is also a really neat place to work out year round. NIFS website: http://nifs.org/MemberReferral.asp

Go to Indyrunners.org and join the local running group. They have group runs at Hinkle Fieldhouse at Butler Tues and Thur plus a Sat run on the Monon or at Eagle Creek. Great group of people. Lots of paces. Also check out the Runners Forum downtown shop. I'm sure you can connect with some runners there.
