Kauai 1/2 marathon. No training and I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to finish! Liz was gracious and ran with me most of the time, which kept me going. Felt pretty bad the last 3 miles. The course was beautiful and one big hill. We ran through a town and there were people out cheering. We saw some little boy hula dancers and some people drumming. They had big sponges soaked in cold water- perfect! Glad I did it, got to run with Kirsten Shustack for a little while and it was just a great experience! Flipped out waiting for Randy to finish the marathon. He finished a little behind what I was expecting, but that was before I knew how horrible the course was. He did awesome considering!
