Notes

An Easy Run taking into consideration pace but relatively tough in terms of effort. I just feel like a 70 year old when I run. I type this and cannot believe it but this is how it feels. My energies are extremely low. I woke up again with tension & a migraine. My left temple was physically in pain and so the right side of my face in particular my eye. I needed to get out there and do something. My feet were my last concern today as my head was in pain. I run and felt better for it. It is amazing what the fresh air does for me nowadays. It is my medication in the literal sense of the word.

Looking at my watch I was surprised to see a 9:39 min pace per mile. I wondered where this came from as I was running slowly all the time or at least this is how it felt at the time. However, then I recalled that it was the female runner in the distance my spirit was chasing! The competitive Me! She must have been running at a pretty fast pace up on the hill because I lost sight of her. It is amazing how these little things move us without us realising!

It was comfortably warm and sunny off and on. Tomorrow I am travelling / long travel to London and then the day after flying home with my flower. I need so much to be there, to feel the Greek warmth of the Sun and it's people, my extended family and friends and get the 'Light' from Taygetos Mountains & swim in the crystal clear warm waters of Stoupa, eat good / healthy food and listen to the lapping of the ocean waters during the night as when I was a child. Home . . Sweet ...Home! -:)

I am also going to run and relax in style. I will try. This time I owe this to myself. It has been a tough year so far. It is all good but it can get better. Some day (soon) I shall be repeating this beautiful journey hopefully with Franc too!

Given time it is all going to work itself out!

Next week is the 10 k in Stoupa. Hopefully, I will be able to give it a go whatever that means. A day at a time. This is how it is nowadays. I believe that my running days are not over yet and I shall fight to the end. Every run matters! -:)
