Notes

Franc, Evgenia and I set off about midday, today 1st day for 2012 for an easy jog / run for the Good of the Year. Franc had not run for almost a week so this was just a New Year's positive beginnings......whilst Evgenia joined in with the hope to do a couple of miles and me to enjoy a few New Year miles too.

Franc went ahead whilst Evgenia started having minor complaints and decided at 1.5 mile point to return. So, I jogged back and and forth all the time on the move so to keep warm and make sure she was fine to home. Near at home I extended to an extra mile while Franc had also shown up finishing the Springholm loop.

In my mind I wanted to make it up to a marathon distance for the whole week and joining the last year to the new in good terms. A full marathon for the week is not bad.

While running I was thinking that at exactly the same day and time last year I was racing up in Lowell / Boston for the 5k along with Franc finishing him 1st in his division and me 2nd lady in my division. I had a good feeling inside as I realised that today for the first time the Sun had come out to welcome the beginnings for this year. I could hear the sound of little river alongside and was running along with it's flow while I could see Evgenia doing her skating moves in the horizon and feeling so contended. We had a great start for the year and feeling so positive about what is coming ahead.

Overall this was a great opening to 2012 and I am just about 4 days away from my freak accident in Boston when on the 5th Jan I re-fractured my foot. A full circle but still here to fight the odds and go along with the flow and the water in the river. I love the Nos 2 0 1 2. No matter what the predictions are I believe that we have to make it a positive, creative and productive year.
