Notes

My first run in Greece - Piraeus in harsh weather conditions and while some parts of the country have been affected by the attack of a Cyclone. Unimaginable but True. Devostating indeed for inflicted areas (humans, animals and land). Piraeus looked grey and threatening today with strong winds. They have been expecting for the Cyclone to hit here too but luckily it has now changed its course. Greek people are not used to these type of phenomena.

My run was good and as always emotional. I ran to the end of the prominade along all the yachts that very rich people own in the giantic Marina Zeas and headed to the end at the Lighthouse. So many memories here to recall and a life to treasure. It is a blessing to be able to honor my visit to Piraeus City with a first run no matter the weather.

Once again I feel blessed. This is a time whereas Coronavirus Pandemic has hit worldwide and caused much more misery in people's lives. As it was not enough for Greek people fighting the crisis and the misgivings with Turkey now they also have to deal with the threat of Covid.

The most peculiar of all the fact that I could not visit my loved ones, I could not hug the ones who met and could not be in close physical distance to any person. This is a bizzare and uttely alien approach for us Greek people. Social isolation and physical distance. However, it needs done to keep each other safe.
