Notes

4 miles was enough to put me out of my misery. I have pain on the toe and stiffness on the Peroneal muscle from the start. If I was able to run today and in my mind it did not matter what would happen tomorrow. This is how I run today. I took the risk but sensibly.

For last mile I, somehow, felt motivated and inspired by many thoughts so I pushed it a bit at maybe 85% effort. I had this need at an emotional level just to get it our of my system. I know I have lost fitness but at the end of the day I am still running and that is all that matters.

The toe nowadays and over the last 4 weeks has been very difficult to the point that I am not able to bend it to get it into my shoe. The joint will not provide flexibility to bend. It is rigid. So, I am running with a rigid joint (Hallux Rigidus) and, in a way, taking a slight risk but also praying that I will not end up with a fracture on my first Metatarsal. It is a very peculiar condition this. It affects the Peroneal and the whole foot for all that matters. However, with the daily treatment of physio & mobilisation by Franc and myself with Valsam Oils & Rosemary Oils and rotation of the joint I manage to survive just. It is amazing that this intensive daily 20 min workout has allowed me to fight rigidity and run. -:)
