Today I did an interval workout (10 X 1 min with 1 min recovery) in my good old running courses in CD. It was fun and hard work too but very pleasant type of work. I was emotionally fortified by the fact that I was running back on familiar courses whereas for years my running foot steps and cycling ones have made history along with 100's of miles.
I worked hard during the 1 min workout and it was fun. I enjoy interval work by time as it is different to that of distance. It is different and motivating. The last one was my fastest which means that I finished strong. Good sign. Cardio was good and strong.
However, finishing my warm up for last 4 + miles proved to be hard work up on those hills. Not a good idea to finish on hilly land. But I had no choice as I had parked my car in the front of a Les's house. Second breath and off I went for last mile. I was revived in the end and rewarded myself with a nice big fat chip role. Yummy! I earned it.
