Notes

Following a day off running because I felt some form of pressure and tightness in peroneal muscles on left foot. The memory of my last years' peroneal brings back unpleasant memories. So, I have to take good care on how far and how hard I run whilst monitoring every step carefully on how I place feet on the ground. A little slope on the ground is enough to trigger apprehension again and so I become mindfully aware. There is no doubt to me now that the toe joint has caused me to use the left side by 5th metatarsal of the foot to run so it does compensate for the 1st metatarsal which is exactly on the joint with big toe. The biomechanics of the foot. This is what exactly happened to me with the initial stress fracture back in May 2010. Following the Boston Marathon and adding on the miles thereafter the right foot with the infected bunion caused the fracture on the 5th metatarsal. Now I know the difference between, metatarsal sensations, peroneal pressure / tightness etc. One thing when one does endure injuries of this nature is that as a runner I learn (the hard way) and become wiser for the future. So, no risks taken up and until I feel better. No excessive miles or intense workouts for at least a week and see how it goes!

Apart from All that most of my run was taken and was pre-occupied with how to run safely. 5 miles was enough and see how foot feels tomorrow. However, in addition to the above I felt slightly heavy and tired. My breathing was labouring a bit. Then light rain came on the way. Rain or not rain weather is pretty mild now.
