A 2 mile run.. Today there was no blood running through my veins and the left leg and its calf muscle felt not one of mine and was completely frozen. The muscles on both calves almost felt as tight as bones and I got really worried from the very first step to the very last one.

Now I am qualified to say that it took a Miracle to do The Athens Marathon and it will take another to do The Loch Ness Marathon let alone qualify for The Boston Marathon. This is the Reality and not pessimism. Qualifying for the Boston will be a Double Miracle.

This is not an injury but A Condition. I try to put it behind me and always "HOPE" makes me feel great because it does ease down and allows me to do some hard work. But it is a condition and it is sneeky and attacks the system with a speed of light and without warning. There was no need for this today to be triggered. I will never find out why today why so bad.

I set to do an easy 4 mile loop. I did stretching and things I usually do. I started a steady, easy / slow pace climbing up hill and My God I could not position my body up right because I had to accommodate the legs that would not sustain the body. They were giving away and no matter what I would do it was not good enough. When back home I could hardly walk and I am glad I did not persist (as I would normally fight to complete the whole loop).

Now I will have to seriously re-consider the 18 miler for this week. There is no way I can even think about it. The left leg is struggling badly at the moment. Anything more than what I did would have caused a serious injury..just have to wait and see. GOD WILL HAVE TO GUIDE ME ON THIS ONE. I never had it as badly before.
