Notes

I made most of my Frankie in today's run. He cycled back and fourth staying with me so to make sure I was O.K.

My intention was to run no further than 5 miles following my operation but I felt so good that I did not want to waste the opportunity. I felt dehydrated after 3rd mile so I stopped and got some water from a farmer and that kept me fresh and going. It was fun and it was also hot. So much hotter than had expected on the move. It is a amazing what a glass of water can do when you need it. It is life.

So, I run strong in a steady pace to the end enjoying the experience and the route (one of my past favourite courses) and first time for Franc. Part of the run was on soil/sort of track bumpy country road. Franc managed fine whilst at times had to carry his bike over the gates. He must have been wondering where I was taking him as I did not mention anything and he had not been before through this route.

He did an approximate 20 mile bike run and as for me I had my bodyguard at all times and nothing to worry about. Soon we will be moving away from this area so It is nice in a way to say my byes to surrounding countryside with the beautiful memories that has offered me during my runs in all weathers. It is amazing how closely linked I have come to be with the land in places I have run. Dumfries and Galloway almost feels like a home for me as I know all these paths and rails and roads via repetition and running on my feet. I feel so good that my body has taken me to all these places and has made me to be and become who I am. Running and Becoming as they say. Nothing stays static and I am looking forward now to build my new running empire in Dumfries land and it's surrounding country.

Today's run was a beautiful and well balanced experience. No pain, no effort just easy running motion in a rhythmical and harmonious cadence.
