Notes

I run with Ruth who was doing the 21 miles prep for Doublin Marathon. I accompanied her for her third loop of 7 miles in the forest. Tough course and even more so three times round. We ran with Ollie and Lucy the beautiful doggies of Ruth who placed us in the middle. Ollie the 5 yr old Collie in the front showing the way and Lucy 13 young years old Collie at the back wagging the tail and faithfully following us. It is such an amazing feeling running with dogs. I miss it so much. Ruth did amazingly well and now just about ready to face her Marathon challenge at the age of 46. Franc did run at the same time but he did his own course of 10 + miles. All three of us loved the experience, the day, the amazing views and the whole thing. It was an amazing day for my running and my toe was also kind to me. I was delighted that I was able to use my Trail Running shoes as I had not used in a while and anticipated that the would not accommodate the arthritic toe. All went better than planned and Ruth was thankful for having someone for the toughest part of her planned running journey. We runners keep each other going and this is what is all about. Lucky me too as I was not going to put 7 miles on my own in the forest. So, it works out for everyone.
