Notes

Well today was Frankie's Racing Day / Racing on the Dumfries Half Marathon Course. I ran before the race the Half of the Half on the course and the hilly parts kind off the middle loop. I loved it and , in a way, I managed to let 'steam off'. This is a tough course. I was caught in heavy rain for last two miles and on the tough last hill. I absolutely loved. Today I felt I could have run the Half too even without training. I felt light and motivated without Arthritic pains (only for first mile) and / or other tightness or stiffness on the left foot me tarsals. I always remind myself of how lucky I am that I am still running. Still the flame of racing is in me and one day I may, by a miracle, make it to race the Half (at least) again. As for Franc! He deserved The 1st place and the Smart Wee cup for his age division and now next year will have to maintain his title. He did wonders without injuries following 6 years not having raced the distance of The Half. He is back. So, Well Done Frankie and to many more!!!!!!!! It has been a really beautiful day all around. Thank you God for this!

I still cannot believe that I ran a pace of 9:28 for the toughest hill and for last mile. I must still Love The Hills!
