Notes
In terms of effort this was an easy hilly run and in terms of pace a medium pace (and on occasion fast pace) run. Weather was wild / wet & windy and also foggy. The run was tougher on the way back with the head on wind and heavy rain 'belting' my face. But I felt alive.
Back to the old good running routes of Shawhead hills. Nice to be on the top of the world again.
I like runs like this one. I felt strong although I lost Franc or rather Franc lost me for miles and miles. Thank God I felt physically strong as I was on my own in the company of sheep and their baby lambs in the fields. Not a soul elsewhere apart from scattered farms. I love running in the wilds, it does something for me. I have missed that element in my running since we moved to Dumfries Town. In a way I appreciate it even more now.
It was a good quality run this one. A descent 8 miler. The Hallux bothered me at times and became aggressive for sec but let me get on with most of my run. -:)
Very happy about this run.
