Notes

Delightful / Delighted with this Interval workout. After 3 to 4 tiring and painful days (migraines & sore back) I started this run with no specific goals but cautiously optimistic.

I warmed up while Franc was doing his rounds in front of me and back to front all the time. The middle of my back was holding tight. When I woke up this morning I could hardly move for the pain. I thought this is going to be another hard day but I am not going to give up today's run. I will go out there and do what I can do.

So, this was Wow! I started having fun in the sun trying to take my mind of from the pains of the arthritic joint and also making myself more comfortable taking good care of how I use the core of the body and turn my back. Soon, I forgot it all and there I was doing my interval work / 10 X 1 min with 1 min recovery by the river side. It was busy with people now and then and I had to watch as this is a part for dog walkers. I love dogs but following recent Franc's experience (attacked by a small dog in the forest) I am a bit cautious.

However, I found myself enjoying this back and forth interval work and managed to go into a zone and deliver. Hallux was good to me during the interval. This was a bonus. My back issues were minimised and I was not even thinking about it. I was happily distracted.

The whole run became so much fun and did nearly 8 miles without even realising it. So, I am very happy with today's run that happened to be a 'Mother's Day Run'. Dedicated to my lovely mother and also my flower / Evgenia. To those two dedicated and so much loved people in my life. I experienced beautiful moments with nice memories from the past and hopeful thoughts for the future.

Mother's Day, a special day to remember.
