Notes

This was a new course suggested by friend Les towards Crossmichael village and over the hills. Again first 3 miles were slow and tough reference to CS but manageable. Also there was no much motivation as the first 4.5 miles were slightly flat with a steady up-hill approaching Crossmichael.. . However when left the village there was an exciting steep wynded hill of approx. 2 miles with ups and downs thereafter. The winds were also extremely strong to the point that I was running on the spot on many occasions. Also for the first time and thinking of Coach (Work hard up hills and push down hills principle). Well this is the first time in my running history whereas I did up-hill work constantly as the down hill was the same as up hill due to wind resistance. So, it was almost as running all up-hill (if I had closed my eyes my body would tell me that I was running up hill for approx. 3 to 4 miles no stop). It was beautiful to see the loch from the top of the world and all surrounding areas. It was worth while fighting all the natural wild elements. I LOVED IT. It is amazing that I do not really have to push hard up-hills. It feels so easy for me to run hills wind or no wind. I could have gone forever. At some point I lost my way on the way down and ended up in a farm in the middle of nowhere at a very smelly maddy part.. where my feet sank into the ground that I could hardly move. So, I had to return and find my way again. At that point I was near town so it was a relief as it had become very cold and my body was losing heat by the minute. It was a marvellous run and I will treasure this for what comes ahead.
