All Done!
I raced it and I am delighted with an 8:02 / mi. On a course that at least it's half consists of gradual incline. Weather was not an issue. Slightly chilly to start with but mch better than last week's weather.
I run in the tune of MJ's song, 'History' 3 x mi. It was an amazingly fast experience as I have not raced for a year / since July last year.
This run was special for me in it's own way. I run it as it was my last run. I could have certainly run it maybe 20 sec faster but just 1/2 mi before the finish I pushed it so hard that I felt physically sick and slowed down to make sure I went on strong. This was a good result considering that my energy levels have been compromised because of fasting (meat products, fish for 12 weeks) & dairy, eggs for this last week + CFS. A minute and half faster than last week's unofficial race on exactly the same course, pretty great!
Tonight I will receive the special communion after 4 years. Today was and still is a special day for me. I have to thank God for that. The joint, although problematic during the warm up it did not bother me at all during the race -:).
My first run / in coventry / 2nd lady for my age division (3rd lady runner of my division was 6 sec behind me. 16th female overall. 465 runners in total. All good.
