Notes

This was a desperate run. I felt physically tired or rather fatigued before the run and all day. Migraines and tiredness have caused me lots of struggles over the last couple of weeks with a significant deterioration for the last 5 days. I had to run as nothing makes sense any more. Dr noted that I had a high blood pressure and Friday was the worse day for me. So, the struggles of the Hallux was almost nothing. I had to run, I needed the oxygen in my lungs, I needed to feel free of pain, I needed to run and feel alive away from all the pressures. There is a limit to everything and this has become pretty serious stuff. What would I do without my running? God is graceful and merciful. I wonder how can I run, how can I still run? I cannot put my foot in the shoe or take my foot out as the joint does no longer bend and is rigid. I cannot walk without constant pain, I cannot sleep without, at some point through the night, because of throbbing / shooting pains but I can run. I can run.

I felt tired in this run. For first 3 miles I felt I was just carrying the body and running for the sake of running. I said to myself that this is not 'Me' at all. At that point I started pushing it a bit just enough to feel alive and free. It was windy but very ..very mild today. I felt extremely hot and took my gloves off. I misjudged the weather today. However, when one gets really hot and pushes hard it can only be a good thing as learns to deal with the heat. The fatigue became least of my worries as the body pushed and raised above this prompted by the mind and soul. This was a very rewarding run in terms of been able to prove to myself that it does not matter what happens at the end is the will and strong desire that creates miracles. An 8:16 for last mile even stopping in pavements and crossing roads proved the point. GPS never lies. I could not believe the result despite the fact that I knew I was running fast / maybe at around 95% effort. One of these days I must try the fast mile on the track. 'Me' v 'Me'. That will be an interesting experience.
