About me: I grew up in a small village in northern Wisconsin. Moved to Minneapolis to go to college the summer after I graduated, and have been going to school since. Double majoring in Nursing and Business Administration. |
Why do I run: I run because it does 3 things. 1 - Helps me from becoming morbidly obese. 2 - Currently helping me lose weight. 3 - Keeps my heart healthy. (My grandfather died of a heart attack before he was 50). |
Why I started running: I started running a year ago (Jaunary 2005) because I was bored in my dorm room and had the idea to run a marathon to lose some weight and to be able to say that I ran a marathon. I was 220 pounds then. I'm now just over 200 and have been running about 10 miles/week since running the Twin Cities Marathon on October 2, 2005. I will start to pick up the mileage over the remainder of Jaunary and February and will start my training for this years TCM on March 13. |
