Ran with the high school crew bc I was there for the kids running camp. I was planning on working out on Tuesday, but wowza that was a hell of a ride for me. It was me, Warrick, Nate, Nolan, Kevin, and Joe. The guys said they were gonna do hills today so I said hell yeah I'll take you for a ride. They were gonna do one to two loops but I said no, you're gonna do the full 2 mile loop. I guess we dropped Joe pretty immediately, but the rest of the guys held on for awhile. I took the reins from the start and kept it hard and tried to get these guys to follow me. About half way through the first mile I was starting to lose Nate and Kev, I yelled at them but I don't know when they got off the pain train. Coming up to the end of the zig zag and turning around heading for home with just a few hills to go I checked to see who was still on my hip and it was fucking Nolan Robins. I don't really know the kid, but seeing him race a few times and running with him this once the kid can fucking grind. He doesn't quit and I am officially in his fan club. I saw the guys trickle in after the hills were done a few were upset that they got dropped but I tried to let them know that makes them better in the long run. I had to turn back and run another mile of hills looking for Joe who we feared was lost in the neighborhood but turned up later back at the school. Oh and I really had to shit on the way home and that considerably slowed down the last mile or two.

Honestly, super excited about what this says about what I'm capable of physically when the mental side of things is figured out. I hope this hints at sub 19 5k in like 22 days! Babson is trying to run sub 5 on Wednesday and I'm either going to race or pace him. I haven't decided I guess I'll see if I feel like death tomorrow after a long one today.
