Happy NYE. Pretty much just chilled all day after tutoring, kinda putting off the run for a while. Finally got going around dusk, warmed up about 3 miles to the beginning of the CLT and used my spray painted mile markers for a 4mi progression run. Plan was to do 6:20/6:00/5:40/5:20 with 4x15" surges thrown in at the beginning as a kind of intro to progression runs and as a new twist I wanted to try. Couldn't see all the markers out there but fairly closely could estimate it was something like 6:17/6:00/5:38/5:24, with all the surges done before the 3rd mile. Felt pretty decent, tailwind for the last 2 miles helped a bit. Drove to Kevin's cottage after for NYE, celebrated with a little too much fireball whoops.
