6ish up, tracksmith 5k pacing, 1ish down
Super fun night at the track. Me and Darren were both set to pace the 17' heat, I volunteered to run 83s/84s for a bit to pace Megan while he led the 81.5 group. Huge heat, 30+ people. Came through the first mile and Megan had really dropped off so worked hard to get up to the front of the pack. From 1.5-2.5 I was running smooth but it was definitely getting hard. Started cranking it down a bit more when Ben/Sarah were feeling good and I was getting close to race effort to finish it off. Peeled off at 4400 to let them go, kinda wish I had kept going but didn't want to push too hard since my back has been bugging me all week. Ben ran 16:48 and Sarah was 16:51, absolutely crushed it. Had a great time and happy to help!
