Corona de Loma climb. Wanted to squeeze in a little grand canyon training run today to get some elevation in and test out the pack/shoes. Started with bremma and john and took the long way to the trails. Had to check my map a few times to find my way to the start of the climb. Some hills getting there but nothing too bad, just a bit rocky. Climb itself is about 0.8mi gaining 700+ft. It was pretty dang hard. I knew it'd take about 8-10 minutes so I spent the whole thing counting to 500 to guesstimate when I could stop lol. It was tough because of the incline but it was also really rocky so not super runnable. Got really steep at the end so wimped out and walked a couple tree steps here and there. Gorgeous view from the top. Slow going running back down. Makes for a better hike than run.

Pretty tired running the rest of the way home, thought it was only going to be about an hour of running but the extra distance down vista made it a lot longer. Still feel like this is less hard on the legs than 80' on the roads, we'll see how I feel tomorrow. 1300ft elevation total.
