Crappy race. My breathing told me I didn't really have it from the get-go, 6:25 felt too hard, but I stubbornly decided to try to hold it on a warmer, windy day on an unforgiving course. Held through about 6, then got crushed by the hills and wind...and subsequently fell apart, then quit mentally at some point when I couldn't keep the pace below 6:40 in the hills. Decided I really didn't want to see a 1:27 on my watch at the start of mile 13. Picked it back up to a 6:31 for mile 13 and then ran the last 0.1 at 4:59 pace to bring her home in an official 1:26:53, almost 3 minutes off of pace. Woo!

HR shows that I was over-extending myself from early on and actually held the level of effort pretty high through the race. Mile 13 then hit 192 and the 0.1 was a 202, topping out at 205. Averaged a too-high HR 184 for the race. Garmin also showed 13.26 miles. Sweet.
