I pushed the scheduled 8 mile run faster than usual to build stamina, and to see how long I could hold a faster pace. I tried to keep it in the 11+ to 12+ range. I don't know what happened in the first mile. I was really moving. I'm surprised to see it at 13:30. Also, in the 3 mile, the garmin lost the pace window for a bit. It was blank. It also lost about .15 to .20 of a mile. I run the course enough to know where the mile markers are, and it was off after the screen went blank. I think that's why the 3rd mile shows a higher pace, as my pace was pretty steady between 11 & 12 at that point.

My breathing was pretty good in spite of the sniffles--the large bandana handkerchief helped. My R knee started complaining at the start of the last mile. So, I'm not sure how long I can push a faster pace, given the condition of my knee, even if my stamina gets better.

Looking at the garmin connect map, the gps is off in 2 places. The first mile shows me in the wrong place--about 1/2 off from where I actually run. I run directly along the highway, as is show on the 2nd lap. Also, just where the pace marker went blank, the gps shows my path about a block off where it should be. Even tho the pace window came back on winthin a few seconds, the gps didn't correct for quite a while.
