ran at Jungle Run. got there at 5ish so set up and then just chilled, did minor walking around and cheering. warmed up, drills, then headed to line. delay because some girl collapsed in race before us so on line jogging around and doing pickups for 20-30min. not too nervous though. gun went off, got out well. hung out up front for first 800 then pushed pace for next mile or so, leading. went through mile in 4:52. then Phillip, Colin and Grant took off and just couldn't hang (maybe led too much?) stuck in no-mans land for a while, went through 2mile in 10:05. finally reeled in Colin and Pinecrest guy in last 400. lost to Phillip by 20sec and Grant by 7 (3rd place). really dissapointed, wanted to race Phillip all the way to the gun. hopefully the wait will come in to play in 2 months..
