Pacific Crest Trail 50 miler:
elevation gain 13,562 and loss of 12,272.
Due to a helecopter crash the course was relocated to the "San Diego 100 miler" course in the Cuyamaca Mountains. It was hot with long steep hills. Some people were giving explictive names to the hills. There were a lot of DNFs due the intensity or going off course. The race staff were incredible...a completely diferent course created and set up in 4 days. The aid stations were great and the support staff even better. Very tough race, and my farthest. It would've been 4 miles and an hour shorter if I hadn't gone off course 4 miles.
