Ran with Dave, who was totally out of shape because of work, walked quite a bit on hill, lost track of time/distance, so putting up 10 min/mile. Mostly talked to him, though he takes pride in 50 K or so, on sharing that Jim and Ken mostly do smaller races, he chimed in that his ideal distance is Half Marathon too. Hopefully he would get time and come around.

On start of run, felt pain on my left thigh, which subsequently went down and down, as run/walk progressed. Still not 100% out of woods, however, on scale of limping/pain, it is 80% better than 10 days ago, when I could not walk properly.I think running outside and letting your body decide the pace is the best way to find the pace when recovering from injury instead of treadmill. Glad to see Jim got his confidence back in today's race and looking forward for Modesto Half Marathon. I am still on fence whether to run that Half with him or not, due to office trips and most likely I would not be able to get any intervals or VO2 max done in next two weeks.Weight is surprisingly in check in spite of less miles and slow running.
