First race of 2014. Glad to do it, splits were - 6:19, 7:14, 7:19, 7:00, 6:06 (pace for last .75 mile). Still have no idea how fast should I start, went by breathing. First race, I was breathing hard, but did not have sense if I could hold this pace/effort for 5 miles or 13.1 miles. It went easier for last couple of miles. Downhill was refreshing, did go all out for that, and when I ended the race, I was feeling still good to go for another couple of miles at least at that effort.
