Notes
I left the house at 7:00am. Last year I left 10 minutes earlier. I parked at the lot at 2nd and Main again. Plenty of parking there. They charged $5 for the first time ever. I jogged to BBC and met up with Christina, Mike, and Rob. I got there right at 7:30a. Timing was perfect. At 7:45, we walked to the start line.
I am still amazed at the number of people who should not be on the start line. Within the first 100 meters, I passed a guys whose BMI had to have been at least 25. Oh well, I learned my lesson from Anthem 5k and started 'uncomfortably' close to the start line.
I ran a steady pace around 7:30 for the first four miles and pushed hard the last two. I definitely left it all on the course and had no kick at the end. And that's great in my book. This race is a new PR! Overall, very pleased.
