Started out well, first two loops were pretty good. But it got really hot and I got really dehydrated, I was very sick afterwards. For ultras, need to start walking earlier (not just when I feel tired) and need to drink lots more. I'm going to go back to drinking water in my bottle and sports drink or sodas at my car/aid station. I may have had too much sweet stuff (Gatorade and sports beans/ gus) during training. Heartland is going to be tough, I'm going to have to stay slow and focused and not get discouraged.
