Notes

I was planning on a solid 10 mile run at lunch before my doctor's appointment to get my foot good and sore. I ran by myself and could tell I started off pretty quick. I settled into a rhythm and turned around at 35 minutes. On the way back I decided to use the new mile markers on the trail to see what pace I was running. The first mile coming back was right at 6 minutes. I'm sure I picked it up a little when I started to time a mile but it wasn't too much. I continued to hit 6 minute pace all the way back and only came back 2 minutes faster than I went out. 33 minutes at 6 minute pace would be 5.5 miles so I guess I did 11 miles in 68 minutes. Then I added on one easy mile to relax my legs. My foot felt really good running. It was plenty sore after the run though.

The doctor wasn't much help at all. Basically told me it is sesamoiditis and that there really isn't much you can do about it. He gave me a prescription for some new orthotics to try, but I'm not real happy with the outcome of this appointment.

Sounds like a solid run at least!
