Coe 1500. I knew I would be on my own for this race but decided to still give it a try. I got out to the lead and was on my own after 100m. I wore a watch for the first time in a very long time and didn't pay much attention to the 400 but the 800 was in 2:12 and I was feeling a little more tired than I had hoped. I tried to keep pushing through lap 3 (and I think I may have), but then I felt drained for the final lap. I was right at 3:05 when I crossed the line so I knew my 4:05 goal was no longer possible so I just tried to push it for a solid time. It seemed like the wind had picked up during the race and the last 200m felt tough.

I went back and forth on my thoughts on this race multiple times from mildly satisfied to slightly disappointed. I was targeting 4:05 but I also know doing that solo would have been tough, but I still thought I would be able to run another 4:08. That being said, I basically time trialed a 4:29-4:30 mile which is pretty good. Especially considering the last couple years I have run over 4:30 in a couple of actual mile races with good competition. So I think I swung toward being satisfied but that might just be due to the Grand Blue Mile result being so good the following week.
