Notes

Unplanned temp on my own. Helix had an awesome marathon this morning and it motivated me to get after it a bit. I ended up starting at 6:47 and then was all of the sudden running 6:17 without really trying. Decided to just keep it rolling and see what happens. Next was a 6:08 and 6:09 up hill and then mile 5 started to hurt a bit more with a hill and the wind and I realized I was pushing too hard and backed off a bit. Still ran a 6:12 and decided to turn around for 10 (I almost considered trying for a half). Then the slight slowdown and calming down my breathing got be back to feeling quite good. Another 6:11, then 6:00 for 2 miles. Hit another spot where I wasn't feeling as great for a 6:10 and then got a rhythm back to finish with a 5:56.

This isn't anything mind blowing but probably the best workout I have done in a long time. I felt like I could go faster and longer if needed but also felt tired a few times. My legs felt much better than they have in a while. No calf pain at all and my legs had quite a bit more pop. Also, running that in long sleeves, basketball shorts, and trainers provides a little more boost.
