Had hoped to at least run the lower part of Butte, but too icy, so enjoyed a hike up to the overlook in warm wind. Used microspikes. Ice was not mushy but soft enough for spikes to penetrate. Splits are at trailhead, big rock, and overlook. Checked out the stairs - icy.
