It was hot and humid, so I decided during my "warm-up" to go for 6:15s instead of 6:05s. I put my Garmin on the "current lap" screen, so I didn't worry about overall distance or time. I just watched my current lap pace the whole time. By mile 2 something, I felt like quitting, but I was still holding the pace. It was a fun, hot race, and I'm glad for the PR. A sub-19 (6:06 pace) feels doable later this year when its cooler.
